Around this time is the anniversary of it going beyond Mach 3.
It was an extraordinary aircraft, designed in the 50’s as the successor to the B-52.
The XB-70 is now a museum piece. The B-52 it was supposed to replace is still flying.
That reminds me of quite a few business systems I’ve encountered over the years.
Something newer comes along and everyone assumes the old system’s days are numbered. Twenty years later, it’s still quietly doing its job.
At CDE Systems, we don’t assume an older system needs replacing simply because of its age.
Sometimes replacement is the right answer, but sometimes it’s far better to understand what you’ve already got, look after it, improve it and keep it useful.
Old and obsolete aren’t the same thing.
